Lake Tahoe:
Learn to Cross-Country Ski Weekends

January 21-23, 2000
March 10-12, 2000

Rating: Easy-Beginners Welcome
Cost: $299
Deposit: $100

Join us for a weekend of exercise and relaxation at Lake Tahoe. First-time beginners can learn the basics of cross-country skiing, and if you've skied before we'll work on refining technique.

Our lessons will focus on basic striding technique, and also include instruction on step turns and more advanced turns. After skiing, you'll enjoy fine food, fun, and good conversation around the fireplace in our lodging in a comfortable lake-view home.

Our Tahoe trips feature delicious apres-ski feasts created by Carole Latimer (who loves to cook), and yoga classes taught by your ski instructor exercise physiologist Tacy Weeks Hahn. Tacy's taught x-c skiing for 20 years and has been on the Tahoe Nordic Search & Rescue Team.

Trip includes breakfasts, dinners, 2 nights lodging, lessons, trail fees. (Ski rentals available at Tahoe).

Call of the Wild ski trips include experienced leadership, lodging in a lakeview home, morning and evening yoga, ski lessons, trail fees, a pre-trip class, and fine food featuring recipes from Carole Latimer's cookbook Wilderness Cuisine. A telephone call, fax, or e-mail holds your trip reservation for seven days.
