snowshoeing in High Sierra

High Sierra

Snowshoeing is fun...and easy! With a few tips to start you off on the right foot you'll be on your way.

We'll meet near the Castle Peak area on Highway 80 (about a 3-hour drive from the San Francisco Bay Area) at about 10 AM and after an orientation lesson we'll snowshoe in the winter wonderland of the high Sierra.

The distance we travel will depend on snow conditions, but it usually averages between 3 and 4 miles. We'll make a stop for a wonderful gourmet lunch in the snow.

Cost includes lunch, lessons, snowshoe and ski pole rental, coordinated carpooling and experienced leadership.
