Experience this once in a lifetime trip to the 'Rooftop of Africa' and the wildlife-abundant parks of Tanzania. Our journey begins with a six-day trek up the Marangu route to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Professional mountain guides will escort us on our adventure starting from the park gate at 6,000 feet. The first day's trail climbs through a lush forest to Mandara Hut at 9,000 feet. We will ascend across moorlands to Horombo Hut on the second day and rest there at 12,200 feet on the third day to allow for better acclimatization. On day four, we will leave remaining alpine vegetation behind as trek to our 15,500 foot base camp at Kibo Hut. After a hearty meal and an evening's rest we will wake in the early morning hours to begin our summit ascent- destination: Uhuru Peak, 19,340 feet. The final day will be spent descending the mountain before traveling onto Arusha, the starting point of our wildlife safari.

Our carefully planned itinerary will take us to select locations for the best wildlife viewing and exceptional lodging. We will visit the renowned elephant herds in Tarangire Park, the hippo pools of Lake Manyara, and the unequaled game-filled plains of the Serengeti. Our final stop in the northern park circuit will be the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World". This magnificent crater boasts resident populations of many animals including rhino, lions, and cape buffalo.

We'll then return to Arusha, where you will have the opportunity to visit Arusha National Park for a guided walking safari to search for buffalo, giraffes, and warthogs! Before returning home, you will have time to explore the markets of Arusha and meet with local women before saying 'Kwaheri' to East Africa.
