The Palisades Glacier region is one of the most beautiful in all of California. We'll hike past spectacular turquoise lakes formed by the ancient Palisades Glacier and have the opportunity to view the Palisades Glacier itself on the fourth day. While hiking, we'll be surrounded by towering granite peaks ranging from 12,000-14,000ft high.
It's an awe-inspiring area that's visited less often as it's quite strenous to explore with a heavy backpack. Therefore, we use mule support to bring our gear to our base camp and we enjoy light day packs on all of our hikes.
This trip is designed for women who are active, casual to regular day hikers, who do not want to carry a heavy backpack, but that would like to explore a spectacular rugged area of the California Sierra Nevada. We do recommend that you train for this trip and are prepared to do 6-8 mile hikes at a slow to moderate pace.
Minimum 3, maximum 8 clients. Balance of $895 due 90 days in advance on 5/16/16.
Once you register for your trip, you will be sent an invitation to the trip on PathWrangler, the site we use to share the detailed itinerary, directions, gear list, as well as a forum for communicating with other clients and your guides. It is very important that you accept this invitation.
