"The Ten Lakes trip with Call of the Wild was my first backpacking trip, and I couldn't have been happier with my experience. Before the trip, Emilie was so helpful and patient with answering all of my questions. On arriving at the campground the first day, I received a warm welcome from the guides and fellow clients that made me feel instantly comfortable. The guides went above and beyond every day of the trip. They helped us with how to best pack our backpacks, set a hiking pace that was comfortable for everyone's skill level, cooked delicious meals that met everyone's dietary requirements, and even had hot drinks ready for us first thing in the morning. They also helped us identify the various animals and wildflowers that we saw while hiking. The views from the mountain passes, especially those that included the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne, were stunning. If you're looking for a trip in a beautiful part of Yosemite under the leadership of highly experienced guides, I would strongly recommend this trip."  -R.S. Milwaukee, WI

""Every day brought jaw-dropping vistas of the mountains and valleys of the Sierra Nevada's followed by wildflower strewn meadows, shimmering lakes, and incredible wildlife. (Especially Marmots!) There were so many 'oh my God look at that' moments I quite forgot my sore feet. At the end of each day the compassionate (thank you) and knowledgeable guides cooked us amazing meals, (watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat - I still don't know how they did it from their little bear cans), and shared their vast wilderness experience and tips on walking and 'treading lightly' in a pristine environment. A couple of my favourites were 1. How to get ALL that gear into ONE backpack and make it look and feel like you're going on a day hike. 2. All hale the 'rest step' when faced with a 1000 ft climb. And 3. The encouragement to walk up and out of your personally perceived limitations. When the walk had finished I just wanted to turn around and do it all over again with these ladies. Well, after a hot shower and a hamburger at Tuolumne Meadows of course!" -B.D., Katoomba, Australia
