Tonto Plateau in Grand Canyon

Take a look at our trip calendar...
Call of the Wild can take you to the places you've dreamed of visiting all your life.

You can hike the unique landscape of Baja, Mexico, where the desert meets the sea and whales splash offshore, or you can travel through the rainforests, glaciers and beaches of New Zealand's South Island.

In the mountains, you can gaze at the stunning landscape of the High Sierra on the Muir Wilderness or Sequoia National Park day hikes. And we now offer our Mt Whitney trip with mules packing our gear.

Water-lovers can kayak in Baja, float down the river in Peru's Manu Jungle, raft the San Juan River at Canyonlands National Park, or take a boat ride to sightsee Kauai's rugged coast.

You want the desert, and swimming, too? You can hike in the desert landscape of the Grand Canyon, and refresh yourself in the turquoise pools at Havasu.

For those who enjoy winter sports, we have cross-country ski and snowshoe weekends at Lake Tahoe. We even have a dogsled trip with hot springs.

If it's a challenge you're looking for, you can backpack to the summit of Mt. Whitney, the highest point in the continental United States.

Perhaps you prefer to find your challenge by backpacking in the awe-inspiring landscape of the Grand Canyon.

For photos that will impress your friends, hike with us in Canyonlands National Park, Zion & Bryce National Parks, or we can take you for a day climb up the cables of Half Dome in Yosemite. What a view!

Speaking of views, we're doing a women's trek along the Inca Trail to fabulous Machu Picchu in Peru (porters carry your gear)—the trip of a lifetime. Follow Machu Picchu with a trip to Peru's Amazon Rainforest.

Explore California's High Sierra on our South Lake to North Lake Backpack. Or enjoy Half Dome as part of our Classic Yosemite Backpack trip.

If you aspire to backpack but don't know how, join other beginners in our Lost Coast Beginner Backpack and our Yosemite Beginner Backpack.

Roughing it is not your thing? By popular request, we're doing more hiking trips with lodging.

Take in the serene beauty of Lake Tahoe with our Wildflower Hikes, Indian Summer Hikes and Autumn Leaves Hikes, then spend evenings by the fireplace in a lakeview home.

Our New Zealand trip provides the best of South Island activities at a relaxed and enjoyable pace, and you'll enjoy the comforts of hotels or lodges each night.

Want an amazing cultural experience? The Semana Santa Festival (Easter Week) in Mexico's Copper Canyon should not be missed.

For the culinary-minded, try the Gourmet Hiker's Trip. We even have a trip to learn about the famous moles (sauces) and other dishes of chefs in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Please call us if you have questions. You won't reach an automated phone system. We're here to pick up the phone and assist you. You can rely on our 26 years of experience to help you choose the trip that's right for you.

If there's a place you've always wanted to go that's not among our destinations, let us know. We're always planning new trips, and we want to hear from you.
